Kat graduated in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University in Newcastle and started her career with two years specialising in the rehabilitation of people with scoliosis and hyperkyphosis.
From there she moved to a company called Halsa and served as their head physio for 10 years, recruiting and training the physio and sports therapy team to be 20 practitioners strong over 8 sites who worked closely alongside the chiropractors. In this time she also did her dry needling and clinical Pilates qualifications which still form an important part of her practice.
It was over this period that she fell in love with chiropractic and vitalistic philosophy which has gone on to influence her life greatly.
Having met her husband, Dan, they went on to have a son, Charlie, in 2015 and a daughter, Skyla, in 2018. They were both beautiful homebirths, attended by a fantastic NHS home birth midwife and a doula. Both children have been adjusted regularly from birth and are being raised in a vitalistic lifestyle.
Kat then opened her own practice, Lake Therapy in Farnham, in February 2019 alongside Dan. Despite the interruptions of Covid, they have built to a team of 7 physio and graduate sports therapy associates together serving the local community with physio and rehab services. They only don't currently have chiro input in house because vitalistic chiros are like gold dust at the moment! Instead they refer out and co-manage with a local chiro.
Kat now runs the therapy team in her practice - alongside running scoliosis CPD courses, guest lecturing in scoliosis and business at a local university, making guest speaking appearances at conferences and clinic trainings, and providing 1:1 coaching to other therapists who are looking to grow their diaries.
She is passionate about working with women before, during and after pregnancy to educate and empower them to make informed choices and have healthier, happier pregnancies and birthing experiences.

In her life Kelly has had a few hats that she is proud to wear and that she wears well. She has been a chiropractor for over 16 years and this has been her gift and tool to confidently go out into the world to empower and inspire people. After three, natural, awesome home births and then raising three boys in an alternate health paradigm made her realise that if her family can do it anyone can do it!
She feels strongly that medicalisation of our world begins in pregnancy and it must change here to change in our future and our children's future. It is from this belief that her passion explodes. She works with other Chiropractors and health professionals around the world as a mentor as well as running workshops for professionals so that they too can have the knowledge and skills needed to choose to do health differently.
Her dedication and love for her profession was recognised in 2013 when her fellow Chiropractic community voted her as the UCA Chiropractor of the year. She is a tilted speaker at seminars on all aspects of pregnancy, child and family health presenting a fresh, new perspective to help people reach their own health potential.
